I'm not planning on ANYTHING until this Icelandic sweater is complete!

Pics coming soon....

So hopefully tonight (or tomorrow) I'll have some pictures of both knitting related stuff and birthday/st. patty's days stuff to post.... stay tuned. :)

Well, I hope everyone had a nice Easter! It was such a beautiful day and we had a wonderful dinner at my parents' house with the fam. Unfortunately I have to head back up to school and finish this marathon of midterms.

Still plugging along...

So I've set a little schedule for myself:

Work on stats for about an hour

then

Knit for about 15 mins

It definitely helps keep me calm and focused when I am doing my work. Regardless, it looks like it will be a long long night. You gotta do what you gotta do.....

I HATE STATISTICS.

I have been going absolutely crazy over this statistics midterm assignment. I've been sick all week and it just makes my head hurt even more! All I want to do is curl up on the couch with a nice warm cup of tea and my BBBB.

I found another blogger who's made a Minisweater/Boobholder! Look at Noodle Knits'. It' looks great and I want to make one, except I want a different neckline. A more ove a V-neck without the little collar thing around the neck - I don't know if I'll ever find exactly what I want. And I have never made anything more complicated than a hat, so I'm not about to go trying to design something quite yet! Although, I am very tempted.... who knows.

Back to studying!

I need a digital camera

Everytime I want to post new pictures, my roommate is out of town so I don't have a digital camera to take new pictures with. :( I suppose I'll have to wait until next Monday when she gets back....

I wanted to share the new yarn my mom got me when she was in Iceland last month! She got me 3 skeins of Alafoss Lopi to make a scarf with. I think I might actually order more and make a nice warm sweater for next winter! The yarn is gorgeous - I just love it. My brothers also got me something knitting related - the book, Hollywood Knits by Suss Cousins. It has some great designs in there that I will definitely have to try out!

I still haven't made much knitting progress.... I feel like I spend more time searching around for patterns and ideas than actually knitting lately. I still can't find the exact pattern that I am looking for. Heide gave me a few great suggestions for shrug patterns. Once I have a digital camera available, I'll take a pic of the magazine photo that has exactly what I want to make.... it's more of a mini/short cardigan.... something like the Minisweater (aka. Boobholder), but slightly different.... I guess I'll be able to show you all in a week!

It's so difficult to get back into the swing of things at school after being out for a week. I feel like I didn't even get a chance to relax though.... working (and partying) so much. Oh well.... it's back to the second wave of midterms - yuck! Gotta go study!

What an awesome weekend... and it's only half over!!!

So I haven't written in a LONG time.... and I haven't made much progress on my knitting in a LONG time... Oh well, I will get back to it this week. I decided against doing the Rowan poncho... and instead I want to make one of those shrug/cardigan things. I can't find a pattern for one, but I did see a picture of Jude Law's fiancee in People magazine who was wearing one that I would love to make... I'll have to post a pic of it later on, and maybe someone has a pattern suggestion???

As for non-knitting news.... It's been a crazy, fun-filled few weeks. Well, last week was insane with school stuff, and then this past week I've been working at the Learning Center. It's fun to go back to work for a change, but I really do enjoy school better than work! And the second half of this week has been as series of birthday celebrations and St. Patty's day celebrations that seem to never end. Dave came up on Thursday night for St. Patty's Day and we went out in Faneuil Hall with a bunch of our college friends from UConn - so much fun! Then the birthday celebration began at midnight! Somehow I made it through work the next day (quite hung-over, though). There was more birthday celebrating last night - we went out to The Liquor Store with a bunch of my grad school friends. And yes, I rode the mechanical bull!!! Now I'm back at home for a traditional Irish dinner of corned beef and cabbage with the fam.... and then I'm back to Boston tomorrow for the Parade in Southie. Whew - what a weekend!

As soon I get some pics, I'll post a few.

An evening of wine and knitting awaits.....

FINALLY!

I am finished with the craziness of midterms! Spring break next week! Woo Hoo -- Oh, wait. I'm not going to the Carribean... I'm working. Oh well, at least I finished all my reports, presentations, and interviews... and I survived.

Well, I'll be on the couch with the BBBB, knitting away....
And maybe, even maybe, I'll finish up Jenna's scarf by the weekend. It will be my goal to make enough progress, that I can post progress pics by the end of the weekend.

Too much work to do!

Keeping up with this blogging thing is hard work! Keeping up with the knitting thing has proved to be quite difficult these days too! School is just getting to be quite overwhelming. Tuesday I have a mini-presentation (no big deal). But Wednesday I have one psychoeducational eval report and one neuropsych eval report due, a one and a half hour presentation on a memory test, and an important interview for a practicum placement next year! So if you don't hear much from me for the next week.... that is why.

I wish I had some progress photos to share, but not much visible progress has been made on the BBBB. And absolutely NO progress on Jenna's scarf. After Wednesday, I will have much more free time to relax and knit. I can't wait!

Back to the insanity of grad school.......
