I'm not planning on ANYTHING until this Icelandic sweater is complete!

... although I do have thoughts of finishing the purple baby sweater for my friend and making a bright pink fluffy scarf for Dave's cousin, but we'll see

I am a true New Englander living in Florida with my husband for the year where I am finishing up my last year of graduate school. I was recently married to my amazing husband in June and am loving every moment of creating our home together, along with our kitties Lily and Socrates. Life gets busy, so I am continually striving to balance work and play time, and enjoy all the moments along the way!

I'm Baaaack!

Dave and I had an absolutely AMAZING time in Mexico! All we did was lounge around the pool and the beach.... drink lots of tequila-filled drinks (happy hour was 11am to noon every day, and we were there EVERY day!)... listen to live island music at the bar on the beach... and eat lots of great food. Not too bad, huh?! We have TONS of pictures, and more stories, which I will have to post soon.....

Oh, and I knit about two whole rows all week... I'm such a bad knitter... oh well, I was concentrating on doing absolutely NOTHING... and I definitely accomplished that!

Thanks secret pal for an awesome package! I got self striping yarn and double pointed needles so that I can learn how to make socks! Woo hoo!

Gotta go pack ;)

Warning: No knitting news.

Not only do I have no knitting news, I haven't done any knitting! I feel like such a slacker, but hey I suppose studying for finals makes up for it :)

So I'm only two finals away from being done for the year. I have such great projects lined up for this summer. I'll be working at the same learning center I've worked at for the past five years, so I'll have my evenings and weekends to relax, exercise, go to the beach, and of course KNIT. I also want to take up some sewing too (I'll have to dig out my old sewing machine from when I was 12!) and make a few handbags or something.... and I also want to make it over to Beadworks on Newbury and make some of my own jewelery. I'm working part-time until the end of June (then full-time for the rest of the summer), so I'll have my afternoons free so that I can go play! :)

Dave and I also have grand plans of going to the beach, mountain biking, and hiking. We tend to actually follow through on the beach thing, but we have yet to go biking or hiking - we both even bought mountains bikes last summer as an incentive for us to actually follow through, but nope, it didn't work. I have high hopes for this summer though! :) We will see....

Back to studying!
