Name:

I am a true New Englander living in Florida with my husband for the year where I am finishing up my last year of graduate school. I was recently married to my amazing husband in June and am loving every moment of creating our home together, along with our kitties Lily and Socrates. Life gets busy, so I am continually striving to balance work and play time, and enjoy all the moments along the way!

I am the worst blogger ever!

Ever since school ended I have been absolutely terrible at both knitting and blogging. I haven't done any knitting... or blogging about how much knitting I haven't been doing! And to make things even worse.... Healy's baby is due TOMORROW, and I only have half of her baby's surprise finished (and it's been half done for months now). I have had no motivation to knit at all. I have such a short attention span when it comes to my interest in crafty things. Although, my knitting interest has last much longer than everyone else has anticipated. Lately I've been wanting to get into jewelry making, but I haven't yet made it to Beadworks on Newbury Street -- I hear that it is fabulous! After work one of these nights this week, I'll have to take a walk down there. If I make it back by 6pm I can hit up the big ice cream fest thing going on in the Common! Yum!

So work has been going pretty well. I'm working at the same learning center I've worked at for five years now, so everything is very familiar to me, which is really nice. It's tough going back each summer though because a lot of changes (like hiring new employees, people getting promotions, etc.) happen during the school year when I'm not working, so that can be difficult to adjust to at first. But I really love the job and I think it will be a great summer. Plus, the kids are just awesome! :)

I still haven't gotten all of my photos downloaded, so stayed tuned for Cancun pictures! And, my little bro graduated from college a few weeks ago (WPI) so I'll have to post pics from that too!

I promise to be a better knitter so that I can have some really knitting things to blog about! :)
